just what is happening in the Nativelandz world

hi everyone,

as you may know i do volunteer designing for Cante Waste (http://www.cantewaste.com) we have just completed the Cultural Hoops website. It now only needs to be populated with information.

So I am doing a call out for any parents, elders, teachers, educators to come over to the Cultural Hoops website and add your 2 cents worth.

If you head over there, register for an account and you can immediately begin to add information.

If you click on wanted pages, you will see what pages are in need of work. Or you can begin and create a new page simply by selecting a category.

You do not need to be american indian to contribute. And you dont need to be an amazing writer either. They need simple things such as definitions to some words to writing whole pages.

We have decided to set the site up in a wiki style to make it simple and easy for people to contribute. Instead of having some bulky control panel to manage, you can begin adding content from the front page.

This websites aim is to help and support educators when educating American Indian children or educating on American Indian topics.

Any help is deeply appreciated.

Note: Spam wont be tolerated on Cultural Hoops.

Other needs:

Cultural Hoops is in need of one or two project managers, to help promote, populate and maintain the website.

Cante Waste is doing all they can, but can’t dedicate all their time to the website, so yone wishing to be a Project manage, even managing certain sections can contact myself or the Cultural Hoops website and we can organize it.

You can also send a comment through here.

Ok, thats all for now, please head over that way and let us know what you think and show you support. Remember it is a charity website, They do not have any funding of any kind, but their mission is great.

Take care all.

Hey everyone just thought I would let everyone out there know there is a great business opportunity out there.

Now this is legit, this isnt for a hundred or so people.

Apparently Nativelandz is looking for a maximum of 6 people or less to work side by side with nativelandz and all its project.

each director will assist in running sites, and marketing, promoting, adding features or information for a share of the profits.

There is no outlay and no expenses on your part. all you need to dedicate is the time and mind power to the projects at hand. If this seems like you, then let the directors at Nativelandz know by commenting to the business opportunity post.

What Ive been told, is that the directors have just as much right to add and create new features and community programs through the nativelandz projects.

You also get a percentage of all advertising that is made through the projects and best of all it costs you nothing. You dont need to pay hosting fees or renewal fees.

But a heads up, Nativelandz does have a usual condition for all directors to pay a $25 annual fee as a sign of dedication, even though this is waivered for this opportunity, the $25 dollar donation goes to helping pay for all the fees, hosting, marketings etc. But dont sweat it, you if can’t then it is fine for this opportunity.

Nativelandz is looking for keen individuals which will take Nativelandz to the next limit. Great thing, this time the directors have agreed there will be no age limit, but anyone under the age of 18 must have their parents permission.

What kind of ideas is Nativelandz looking for? Well we discussed this in our heavy duty meeting the other night, and we decided that the sky is the limit, we would love to see Nativelandz assist in real genuine offline project and create online communities. bring unique ides and perspectives to the internet and bring our people to help our people offline.

Using both online and offline methods, is the best way we can work together. Knock down the barrier of internet  versus no net, and put them together.

If you think you have what it takes, got some ideas or dont want to be an actual director but maybe contribute to projects by giving up time or your skills then contact our head office and find out more.

You can find the post where you can contact the directors and find out more by clicking here.

Thanks for everyones interest and support.

Hey everyone, I’m like putting a real quick note out here just to let you know whats happening on the rez at Pine ridge and Cheyenne river.

Its crazy weather and we have a huge amount of people and families suffering. we have over 40, 000 people out here on this rez, and most of them don’t have proper heating. Many use propane and that has become to expensive for most families.

There are families out there with young ones and elders that have no heating, elders and kids are getting sick cause they just can’t keep warm.

They way the economy is at the moment, $120 dollars only buys enough propane to warm an average home for a week.

According to the tribal energy office, they are saying that the best way to beat this, and the safest, is to use electric heaters. Which brings us to another problem, most families can’t afford those or the utility bill that comes with it.

Just $50 dollars will provide a family with an electric heater.

native Progress is trying to help provide families with 500 electric heaters, but your help is needed. We need those like yesterday, but the funds are not there.

Any donations made NOW can help a family who is desperate need, quickly!

The other option is to use the wood program.

The wood program can provide fuel for heat, for  families who need it. It will also give much needed employment to families who have no other work available.

We are supporting a wood program on Pine Ridge. The Lakota people are cutting and delivering 200 loads of cottonwood, elm and ash wood. The cost of the manpower and tools to acquire the wood and get it to the reservation will be $10,000 or $50 per cord.

You can help by donating, or by simply advertising here on Native Blogs. All advertising revenue will be directly sent to Nativeprogress donation drive.

You can help in other ways to, there is an ebay store that has been set up for the cause. They are selling crafts and posters and much more in a bid to raise money for these programs.

You can also donate items to give to families and elders such as food and winter supplies or you can donate items to sell on ebay stores.

which ever way you donate, just remember if we get together we can really make a difference to people suffering this harsh and cold winter. Just think of the children and elders battling below 0 degrees while your warm in your bed and ask your self, can you honestly sit there knowing that there are people getting sick and suffering from this winter, when you know you can make a difference.
